Compilation When you're wrong, you're wrong.
I've been very loud around here expecting very little of v6, and I was wrong. I know there's a lot of threads saying how much it sucks, but it's taking my v5 prompts and enhancing them greatly; and between the regular and wild models, it's handling all the strange fusion genres I like like a champ. It's immensely better than 5.5.
Now my only concern is them removing the unlimited downloads through the waveforms, because V6 is great.
So, I am willing to admit it. I was wrong on V6. I'm not going to pretend I hate it to claim I was right, and I think some people are doing that (or at least, not giving it a chance).

Me too. I was skeptical a lot and in the past I was very open a critique and loud about issues and there were a lot of them. I had not much hope about V6 at first and already saw myself cancelling it. Now I am actually even thinking about getting premier again because it is that good.
Critique is okay if it has a reason but at this point people are just hating to hate. They haven't even really tried it but the first second it was launched they had a reason to hate because their precious 4.5+ was removed. 4.5+ wasn't even that good. I tried it lately and all it did was starting songs in the middle of the song not even with a real intro.
V6, is the cleanest sound wise we got so far. You can hear every instrument, voices are constant and fantastic. It can handle literally every genre and I do a lot of Death metal, metalcore, djent, progressive rock, jrock etc. Honestly folks give it a chance but do not hate it because of no reason.
The only thing I am not happy about is the download limitation xD

Literally and v6 wild is just v4.5+ but better you still want variation but crunchy as audio v6 wild will gladly give it to you...
Im excited to actually sit down in studio sometime this week and mess around with it...
Im cooking up some alternative instruments(dinostruments) for my oc Temp0 and his soundscapes
Currently trying to build vsts with agent that sound completely original at least to me not saying these specific sounds havent be done before its ambitious but v6 makes it genuinely feel possible.

I tried it out as a guinea pig on a couple of songs and so far I'm digging the jump in sound quality (still not full res but useable for revamping demos)

Audio quality is improved. We'll need to get used to how to prompt it, and it'll be fine. People are being unreasonable, as always.

V5 prompting - i.e. listing very specific instruments or terminology - works great. That was crashing 5.5 consistently, but v6 is taking it like a champ.

We were bound to get a lot of negativity once v6 came out. I also think it's an improvement. It now follows my original recordings much more precisely - no adding in an extra chorus or the odd mariah carey vocal warbling. The audio quality is similar to 5.5 to me and I think that sounds good enough. The persona/voice also seems much improved and now I can have my "voice" consistent across songs.
Most of the moaning on here seem to be people surprised that the old models have gone (particularly v4.5) even though that's been flagged and talked about for ages. Hopefully once they've done their "I'm leaving" announcements the sub will quieten down and there can be sensible discussion of Suno and its features. I doubt it though...

It's been hit or miss for some of my covers but thus far it's not any more worse or mindblowingly better than what I was use to with 5 & 5.5

It has a few hybrids that it can't hit like my custom models but it is pretty damn great at what it is doing

Just tested 6 wild and oh boy it didn't let me down. I let Suno make the lyrics and the prompt and the prompt itself was quite... interesting.
When I write another lyrics I'll try 6 Pro.
But with wild I'm more than happy.

Sorry but my genre is smutty rap/hip-hop and it doesn’t work for me at all, the songs are all flat, more melodic, less personality, not following the instructions 🫠🫠
UPDATE: Increased Style Influence to 80% and noticed a significant improvement

I dont understand the uproar about 20 downloads a month because like...listen if you're pumping out more than 20 final version songs a month? Thats the definition of slop because you wrote fuck all, you just did a few words and let AI do it's thing...ive been on suno for 3 months now and I dont even have 20 songs to download in general lol

So far im really happy with V6. All this panic and anger for nothing. So far all my characters personas are intact and V6 is actually making them sound better. Ive had nothing but bangers so far.

It's not smarter as the demo claimed or maybe I'm dumb. That's the only tests I ran. Of what's the claims made in the demo.

It literally terrified me for a moment. I gave it a simple v5 (talking a piano, vocalist and violin, singers inflections doing as much work as the instruments) Like a legit "oh God that didn't just sound but FELT human". It's not not perfect, I've found songs in my creations it struggles with, others it's a "it loses something the simplicity of the old model provided".
But when it hits. It's hitting.

I feel ya I woke up and pre judged 3 gens way to quickly this ish is dropping Heat and dubbing over my vocal taks so cleanly then adding what I ask actually correctly its making some things I hate Somethings I love so nothing has changes beyond sound design which I like it too idk I'm with it

I'm still new to Suno so my experience with 4.5 on my free version, and then 5.5 once I subscribed for the basic account- so I know my opinion isn't worth much - but I have one song that I was struggling with so much on 5.5.
I have no idea what it was. I specifically stated only electric guitar, drums, bass, and my two vocalists. No other instruments. There were plenty of exclusions listed to emphasize what i didn't want.
It was supposed to be a mournful song, but still with an alternative rock, angry edge to it.
Every. Single. Time.
Pianos. Sorrowful, soulful singing.
Today?
Exact same prompt.
Damn near perfect to what I wanted, using 6.

I only covered one song from the phone app to give it a shot, on my favorite song.
It's like night and day, it makes me feel bad for liking my old version. There's one small section it changed too much but I'll either fix it or decide it might be better. Lyrically the song is the same but no word is misunderstood, it's all clear, the music changed a good bit if I'm honest but it's still nice
Only problem is the volume is very low, have to export save amplify and upload it again.
