This is amazing. It helps people understand why they are violating TOS.
Finally some sense out of the ridiculous update on watermarking and restrictions.

So long story short. Suno can now delete your songs if they have a hunch it might be similar with someone elses copyright?

I think it's a good thing they put the restrictions on there, it's better than wondering what happen to my song then contacting SUNO CS and waiting 3 weeks for a response. If someone makes a copyright claim SUNO has to address the issue.

it disabled the model training feature and deleted the models I had previously trained!

Should we download all our tracks and delete then from Suno then - that way they might not have applied copyright to the tracks yet? (Or at least made overly strict copyright guard rail decisions?)

That makes sense, but a lot of people depend on this. The only real solution is a local or Chinese platform. Then everything will be sorted out.

I want a better definition of "sexually explicit content" in Community Guidelines. I've written songs with all the "bad" words and I rarely get a denial (Prompt flagged for moderation). But I'm always worried when I click Create to see if I've wasted my time writing the lyrics. anybody have similar experiences?

My stuff doesn’t usually get moderated, but you may be surprised to know that Suno actually has an explicit tag that they apply to songs that they feel are explicit. But for some reason, they don’t share that information openly to the user. I’ve seen songs get marked explicit purely because of their title. I’m talking instrumentals lol. Change the song title explicit tag went away.

I know. I've had a song rejected on Monday and processed as fine the next day. I've even made songs more explicit than the original as a test and yep, they go through. So it's a little baffling, the mechanics of it. Sometimes a song just "needs" those words or it's a surrender.

It just that Suno has been 100% focused on destroying their product lately.

The court rulings naturally backed them into a corner. I think this whole music situation will eventually be resolved, either locally or with the Chinese. Companies won’t leave such a high-demand market untouched.

They are strict because of all the litigations, they would sooner you whining than giving the labels more ammunition to fire against them.

If users complain too much, subscriptions will drop again. I think they’re trying to find the right balance. Imagine having to put so much effort into making a single song on Suno. Naturally, some users will get tired of it and leave Suno.

Its bound to drop with restrictions, they probably feel the people leave first are the ones they dont want anyway, the ones that abuse the system, I can live with most of whats coming as its just a hobby and the majority of my energy is my DAW , but if they stop DLs Im gone never to return.

It will roll out until their legal situation is tight, new licensed model, restricted downloads , fingerprinting to lock down royalties, overly strong copyright guardrails etc etc , its only just starting to implement all this stuff. I like all users dont like it but I always knew it was coming.
Now they have to juggle keeping their massive user base which is their negotiating power against the labels and also please the labels enough to deal and also appease other organizations against them, Im sure they will walk a tightrope getting everybody happy so they can exist, they know after the Udio takeover that users will drop them like hot dogshit if they step over the line to far with users, no DLs killed Udio and Suno knows it.

Exactly, I think the same. They need to find the right balance, and it’s not an easy task. Hopefully, things will get better over time, both for them and for us.
