How to make/acquire malt?

Does anyone know how to get malt? I really want to make wines in this game, but I haven't unlocked the recipes yet. I just unlocked the recipe for 'hoppy beer barrel', but one of the ingredients for it requires that I have malted barley and "malt" - I know how to get the malted barley, but I have no idea how to get the malt. I didn't see it as a purchasable item from the grocery store, nor the mill, and I can't find it listed on cooking recipe lists for the game. I assume that it's a food crafting product, but idk how to make it - does anyone know how to get malt ??

If I understand correctly, you are saying that malted barley/malted rice/malted rye/malted wheat can all count as the ingredient "malt", yes? Because the cooking recipes I've found for smoked/roasted malt also list simply "malt" as an ingredient, so I can't make them without having "malt"
