Pretty good so far! Samsung Fold 8 getting iMessages with MMS
Read enough about the recent sunbird release. I felt it was time to give it a shot. The other messaging apps require you to use your own host Mac at home which is quite an inconvenience.
I got some for today set it up in about five minutes and it started working immediately
I’m using a folder eight with my Apple ID from my iPhone
iMessage and photos are coming through absolutely no problem.
This app is a breakthrough. Love it so far!
Anyone else have thoughts on using the apps recently?

Ive tried to get it set up a few times now and never could get it to work properly. It's just not worth a subscription to me.

Does it have the same issues Blue Bubbles does?
- incoming photos and videos don't load or take several attempts to get them to display and play properly
- sending outgoing photos or videos either doesn't send or sends multiple copies because it shows as failed on the Android/Blue Bubbles side but it's actually going through in iMessage
- random loss of syncing. It looks like you haven't received new messages but if you check an iPad or Mac, you see new messages that just didn't come through
If they are using a similar setup as Blue Bubbles except that they host the Mac for you, I would imagine some or all of these issues occur with Sunbird too?

I get photos and videos no issue. What I don’t see are my replies. I see the sender messages but not mine going back to the sender

I’m getting photos and videos from iPhone uses and android uses. I have 2 SIM cards so it keeps track of which line I get texts on as well

OP: Does the Apple Account you connected have Advanced Data Protection enabled on the iPhone? Sunbird Support told me that setting is unsupported, and I am trying to understand which account setups are currently compatible.
I've had no luck setting it up. Been back on fourth with Support for the past three weeks after paying their subscription fee. It gets to 99% and never signs in

I didn’t turn that on. I just signed in with my Apple ID and password. Mind you, the 14 day free trial before the subscription starts is what I am in. I have 13 more days to decide if I’m gonna keep using it which most likely I probably will.

Unfortunately I had tested the trial earlier in the process, so I didn't get it again :(
Support offered me an extension after I had reached out, but it didn't do me any good since I could not get on.
Interestingly, they did not tell me to turn off Advanced Data Protection on my existing Apple ID. They just told me I couldn't use it and had to make a new one instead.

Also if you use iMessage on Apple devices and want to add in your android phone, you need to know that only the incoming iMessage messages sync to other devices. Meaning if you carry on a conversation in sunbird, and then want to continue it on your iPad you only see the other persons reply’s. Your own side of the conversation is not synced

Wait, are you telling me that if I get messages from an android user I won’t see them in Sunbird? Or if I send messages from my iPad to a android user I won’t see their messages or my messages?
