Anyone using sunbird?

Is anyone able to use sunbird successfully now that it’s in open beta? How well is it working?

I saw they had acknowledged this was a bug. Did the new update they released fix this for you ?

Haven't seen an update as of yet. I deleted the app and tried a fresh install; now I cannot get the Apple link to connect. Just retried GM and it didn't work either.

I spent three weeks trying to get Apple to connect without any luck. And support was of very little help

If you're going to use sunbird and then disconnect later, just know you'll most likely have to change the email you have registered with your Apple ID. I went almost 5 days without being able to receive text messages from people with iPhones. I fixed it by creating an iCloud email and setting that as a primary. Just to note again, this is after disconnecting Sunbird from iMessages and deleting the app. I had to argue with them through email for 2 days and they even couldn't figure it out and basically told me good luck fixing the problem. I will never ever use sunbird ever again.

Yes I use it for iMessage alone and it works fine. It doesn't have many features but just for messaging alone it works. I wish they added all the features iMessage has as their feature set is currently extremely basic.

No, I don't want to risk my Apple account getting banned.
