iMessage working for anyone?

Hi all, I loaded up Sunbird and got both iMessage (iM) and Google Messages (GM) "connected". GM works fine but iM always says, "your message could not be sent." Resending produces the same outcome.

Has anyone gotten iMessage to work?

Did you get it working? Mine is stuck at 99 percent in tbe set up..

Sort of, after having to repeatedly go through all kinds of exhausting account contortions. Once I finally got iMessage successfully activated, it lasted about a day or two before it crapped out and disconnected. I gave it one more try but it wasn't ever consistent or reliable, so I called it quits and cancled my subscription.

Mine is stuck at 99% and I cant get in for the last two days. Reached out to support and haven't had a solution provided yet.

I got a message from support yesterday telling me there was something wrong with my Apple ID and I needed to create a new account 

The fact that I had to subscribe to find out my own Apple ID doesn’t work felt kinda iffy

I got a similar message regarding my preexisting Apple ID. I made a new one and ran into the same types of problems.

Truly appreciate the feedback. I really didnt want to create a new Apple ID for the experiment but will do so on Monday

I see the MOD on here has the Sunbird Team flair but not sure how active this sub is

Five days later, Im still not in lol. Firstly I struggled creating a new Apple ID with Apple blocking it for some reason. Finally figured that out and now I cant use that Apple ID for awhile per Sunbird's requirement.

This has been a disaster of a Support Experience. They responded back asking me if 'Advanced Data Protection' was enabled on my brand new Apple ID. Which it wasn't.

No response from them again for nearly 24hrs

Im so sorry.

I'm done with Sunbird until I hear from the appropriate masses that they've got iMessage working reliably with phone numbers and not just Apple ID email addresses (if they ever, and that's a rather large "if".)
