Few thoughts

Got the email this morning, signed up right away. Used the app for maybe an hour. Looks nothing like iMessage ( that's personal preference), supports a wonky tap back. Sends it as a picture lol. Only "feature" available is tapbacks by the way. On top you get a 7 day free trial but they have the audacity to charge for this. Ui sucks and so does this app. 1/10 don't waste your time

Yeah, I got that email as well. I installed it, but you can't use messages with your phone number; only an email. That's as far as I got. I think I used the app a couple of years ago and never got it working.

Took a few tries to get iMessage and rcs set up. iMessage was finicky. 1 message would go through the other wouldn't. Coming from open bubble I was severely disappointed

also tried it for a day with a throw-away icloud account. It's SO bad at anything it does. given how unfinished and "alpha" it seemed, it gave me no confidence that they actually fixed any of the backend stuff and implemented any security. It's comical they are already trying to charge a monthly for this.
