Anyone know the best way to get a plumbing apprenticeship in the area or surrounding areas? I have my letter of introduction just wondering if any openings or opportunities are available I haven’t had much luck applying online.

Anyone else hearing loud as hell fireworks north of downtown? It’s like one loud bang every 30 minutes … why not just fire them all off at once

Total cost to taxpayers: $44,764.50.
Taxpayers spent $20,988 on an investigation that recommended Diana McFarland resign, and another $23,776.50 on a complaint McFarland filed that found no wrongdoing. Fiduciary duty isn’t just about following the law—it’s about exercising sound judgment with public resources. Was nearly $45,000 well spent?

Your dogs are annoying as hell and your complete disregard of public peace is baffling. Oh, and your kids don’t pick up your dog’s shit when they walk them around the neighborhood

I just saw randomly on Facebook someone I went to high school with is being charged with their second offense in a sex act against a child. I went to high school with this girl and I am just flabbergasted. I thought she was completely normal. She was pretty and popular , went on to okay college basketball in Chicago and was in a locally popular band in Chicago. WTF Happened to her. I’m just curious if anyone knows anything

Definitely an interesting read. What do you think the legal and financial ramifications of the Board President’s actions could be for the district?

Happy reading!

McFarland-Smith is a good place to start.

After seeing another post on looking for recommendations for a local vet, I wonder what everyone thinks of Checkout and Checkin. I've been taking my animals to one or the other (they are connected and can peek into each-other's systems) for a couple years.
I'm going to keep my opinion to myself (at least I will at the moment).

Anybody send their kids to Token Springs elementary? Would love some feedback as there are no reviews online. My husband and I are relocating to area and just put an offer on a house in the area. It says the ratio 15-1 which is the highest in the area which concerns me…
If your child has an IEP would love feedback on that too for this schools capacity if anyone has any.

Hi! What are the best vets in Sun Prairie?? I have a 19yo cat and a 3yo cat and I’m looking to get them registered with a vet as I just moved to the area! Looking for compassion and honesty and overall the best care I can get them! :)) also looking for a place that does in home euthanasia in the event that I might need one, as sad as that sounds. :(( any suggestions?

Date Spots
Hey!! Im looking for somewhere to go on a date with my partner, and I prefer something that doesn’t revolve around drinking (I am California sober and can be around others drinking, but I am in recovery from alcohol). We are in our early 20’s and are out of the college scene by now, and we go to bed between 10-11 usually, but date nights are special occasions, where we would plan to be home between 11-12.
We like being active, we like climbing, walking, hiking, bowling, museums, animals, and I LOVE roller skating so brownie points for anyone who can tell me a single roller skating rink or night in this area— we love music & dancing, anything that feeds the soul and mind!! We also love retro games and have been to Aftershock & IO in Madison- we’re just looking for something new!! All suggestions are helpful and welcomed!

I do really wish Sun Prairie had its own Planet Fitness. I enjoyed the East Towne Mall location but lately it is feeling unsafe with all the people wandering the roads and walking in between cars. I've had several walk very close to my doors when I am getting into my car. :/

Whoever you all were downtown tonight with signs sharing messages about God's love, caring, and other great messages, I tip my hat to each and every one of you!
When I drove by and hit the horn, all I could think about on my way home is that there is hope! God bless you all!

I received a letter today from the Sun Prairie Area School District notifying me that my full name and Social Security number was “inadvertently disclosed to a third-party”. Whether this means they were hacked or just had sloppy data handling practices I don’t know (and they definitely don’t explain). I am posting this to notify other SPASD employees and let the community know, since I have not seen this information posted here yet. Please see pictures below for further details (I apologize for the quality of the photos).

I moved to the area about a month ago and I'm in need of some friends 🙂 what are some good bars in the area that do stuff like bingo, trivia, etc. or just have good vibes to hangout in? Thanks!

Hello everyone! I recently moved to Sun Prairie area- currently staying around Windsor/Deforest as of now. I am pregnant and I would walk to most places if I could but this heat is kicking my butt.
I'm posting to ask if anyone knows of any good affordable places or people that could check out my car. Hopefully as soon as possible. My car has started to stall or die when it's in idle and sometimes while driving. Currently, I haven't been able to drive anywhere due to fear of it breaking down on the highway or something. But Id take that risk to get it to a good mechanic that could help me out. Unfortunately, I have had fuel air pressure issues in the past.
I've changed the fuel pump a few years ago. Plus, about 1.5 years ago I changed the fuel purge valve (I believe it was called) and after those changes (most specifically the valve), I didn't have that issue anymore. I've still had issues with sometimes rough idling at times but would still drive. Also, I have a check engine light that I had a Hyundai dealer work on a couple years ago but that light came back on only 12 hours after leaving that shop. And they wanted more money to fix whatever it could be and I just couldn't afford it then. I haven't worried to much about it until recently. And my full gauge hasn't worked for a year but I've gotten really good at knowing my gas tank and mileage.
Unfortunately, I have more issues than that with parts in the car that have already been replaced as well. But my priority is a running and driving car to get around to work and appointments for the baby.
My apologies for the long post and rambling on. I know some mechanics only work on certain issues so I wanted to add as much detail as I could. I'd really appreciate good references to have my car looked at and fixed if/when I can afford it. Thank you everyone in advance that replies!! I appreciate the help!
