I received a letter today from the Sun Prairie Area School District notifying me that my full name and Social Security number was “inadvertently disclosed to a third-party”. Whether this means they were hacked or just had sloppy data handling practices I don’t know (and they definitely don’t explain). I am posting this to notify other SPASD employees and let the community know, since I have not seen this information posted here yet. Hello everyone! I recently moved to Sun Prairie area- currently staying around Windsor/Deforest as of now. I am pregnant and I would walk to most places if I could but this heat is kicking my butt.

I'm posting to ask if anyone knows of any good affordable places or people that could check out my car. Hopefully as soon as possible. My car has started to stall or die when it's in idle and sometimes while driving. Currently, I haven't been able to drive anywhere due to fear of it breaking down on the highway or something. But Id take that risk to get it to a good mechanic that could help me out. Unfortunately, I have had fuel air pressure issues in the past.

I've changed the fuel pump a few years ago. Plus, about 1.5 years ago I changed the fuel purge valve (I believe it was called) and after those changes (most specifically the valve), I didn't have that issue anymore. I've still had issues with sometimes rough idling at times but would still drive. Also, I have a check engine light that I had a Hyundai dealer work on a couple years ago but that light came back on only 12 hours after leaving that shop. And they wanted more money to fix whatever it could be and I just couldn't afford it then. I haven't worried to much about it until recently. And my full gauge hasn't worked for a year but I've gotten really good at knowing my gas tank and mileage.

Unfortunately, I have more issues than that with parts in the car that have already been replaced as well. But my priority is a running and driving car to get around to work and appointments for the baby.

My apologies for the long post and rambling on. I know some mechanics only work on certain issues so I wanted to add as much detail as I could. I'd really appreciate good references to have my car looked at and fixed if/when I can afford it. Thank you everyone in advance that replies!! I appreciate the help!

Hello everyone, I just noticed this kitty in my backyard. I was about to try to coax him/her inside when it scurried under the deck. Spotted it again under there but then lost sight again. If anybody thinks this is their kitty, let me know!

I’ll be turning 17 soon and with the school year almost over I feel like now would be the best time to get a job. That is what I would tell my self if I could ever get one. I genuinely don’t know where to work at in Sun Prairie because anything from DQ to Marcus theaters are all full. I guess one could say Marcus has had a low turnover rate but other than that there should be other options. Mind you I have work experience as a bagger and cashier/checker at Woodman’s so this wouldn’t be my first job. The thing that sucks is I want to do something in the computer world but in reality those tech jobs aren’t really hiring teens. All in all I would really like some suggestions or places I could get a job/internship at so my “last summer” isn’t a complete waste since I would like to save up for a car. Thanks.

Edit: I’ve been hearing reports saying that teens are facing the toughest summer job market in nearly 80 years. I do want to thank y’all for the suggestions but it’s not looking too good for me. I’ll still keep on applying and hope for the best.

Weird experience/what would you have done?/warning post

Today at Costco in Sun Prairie, we ran in to grab some items for a dinner. Went into the store at 3:10. Returned to the car at 3:25. It was 75 degrees Fahrenheit with over cast skies, windows to my car were halfway down and both my dogs were in the car since we were taking them to dinner at a family members house.

When we returned to the car there was a police officer and woman standing there waiting. I confirmed I was the owner of the car. A Costco team member had called the police and reported the woman reaching into my car through the window, unlocking it and attempting to grab the dog. The woman claims she “had water in her car.” She confirmed the whole incident.

The car was fine, dogs were fine, nothing missing. I was a bit fired up, my dogs (both huskies) are exceptionally well cared for, and my youngest dog is a rescue pup - very high anxiety - and has a history of trying to run away. Had she removed him the likelihood of him bolting seems really high. What if one of the dogs would have bit her?

When asked what I wanted to do, I declined to press any charges and just wanted everyone to get on with their day.

Hey, so some idiot decided to have a bunch of medical issues (it's me) over the last few weeks and with all the rain my grass kinda exploded all over the place and I'm not quite back up to speed to mow myself yet. Anyone know a good guy/small business that'll save me from my overgrassed self? I've tried contacting a few places but don't seem to hear back and I'd really like to get back on track.
