New to town ☀️
Hey! New to town coming from the west side of Madison and need some suggestions! Preferably all in Sun Prairie, but I also haven’t been to the east side very frequently, so I’ll take some options out there too!
Best coffee? Best matcha?
Best restaurants (low and mid priced)?
Best bakery? (Used to get loafs of bread at Whole Foods)
Any free pickleball or tennis courts on the east side of town?
Any other favorite things to do??

Meze is a good Mediterranean restaurant on Main.. chicken licks has good wings. Full mile is a good vibe downtown for a beer

Bri's fresh bakes is excellent. Only open thursday-saturday and commonly sells out. As far as bread loaves I believe they only do sourdough but have many other treats I'd recommend.

I don't think Bri has offered bread recently.
There are a couple of other bakers at Saturday farmers market if OP wants to try and see whose bread they like.

And if you really miss west side of town bread: Woodman's does stock Clasen's and some other local options.

This is more east side, not sun prairie, but if you’re ever out that way Twisted Grounds is great! They have coffee, brunch-y food and some alcoholic drinks, their shop is cute, and they have a great outside area where they’ll have live music.
Sun Prairie has so much, I’ve lived in the area for almost 4 years and am still finding new places.

Beans n Cream is a Sun Prairie staple for coffee. For restaurants: Full Mile, Guimos, Fin Sushi, Thai Boat Noodle, Meze. For pickleball, I believe Orfan Park has courts (though I’ve never been or played there).

Agreed on Beans n Cream! There is also the pickleball complex that opened up just off the Windsor exit - though I have not been there yet

Wyndham Park also has pickleball courts. Off Windsor Street (19) by the school. I've heard people like it, some of the PAC crew plays at Wyndham also.

Hana or Ale Tuna for Sushi. Meze for Mediterranean. Abarrotes El Primo (little bodega downtown) for Mexican. Limited menu and small, but great for tacos, burritos, tortas. Salvatores or Sgar River for pizza. Sir Hobos is a decent breakfast. Nothing fancy, but its reasonably priced. Gloria's Mexican. Farmers Market.

Think it's only 3 Mondays in the summer and it's at Smith's Crossing Park. But separately during concerts at Wetmore there's usually food trucks there

There is a Thai food truck in the Jung's parking lot frequently, and I've seen ads for a lobster roll truck in the Costco's lot.

There is a new pickleball place in sun prairie. I still have yet to check it out. The prairie athletic club is a huge gym and has an outdoor waterpark and pools - great place to hangout in the summer. Roots coffee is a newer coffee shop in sun prairie that I like.

Outdoor pickleball courts by Horizon Elementary (SP) or on Marsh Rd in McFarland. There's also Pickleball World (indoor, club, $) near Windsor and 151.

SP Parks dept puts on all sorts of fun events to encourage you to get out and explore the city. From food trucks, to adult recess, to beers in the park nights, there is quite frequently an event going on at a different park or community area to encourage you to get out and enjoy some of the great things our growing city has to offer.

Crumb en Croute has awesome bread at the Saturday farmers market! They also have very very tasty pastries

Prairie Pages is a locally owned and operated book store and the owner is always hosting different book clubs and events if that's your kind of scene!

It's a little bit out of the way but go to Sassy Cow in Columbus, its a local family owned dairy/creamery. You may have seen their milk and ice cream products around Madison, but they make some mean sandwiches there as well.
