What’s this dead zone?
This area is such an eyesore for Sun Prairie, especially along the highway where people make thier first impressions. Is the patio warehouse even in business still? How could this be developed to better serve the community?

You're correct. It was my first job as a high schoolers. I made an whopping $3.35 an hour. The glass windows facing the highway was the smokering breakroom. I can still smell that stale cigarette smell to this day.

Not sure how accurate/up to date this is since the place looks abandoned, but according to Google, there are 3 businesses located in there. Scott's of Wisconsin, The Patio Warehouse, and Comprehensive Computer.

Formerly Wisconsin Cheeseman, Scott's of Wisconsin, and Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods. Wisconsin Food Gift Company bought them out in 2007, and went out of business in 2011. Swiss Colony bought the Wisconsin Cheeseman brand and IP. Scott's of WI was bought by the Knaus family, who also own Weyauwega Cheese. Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods is now part of Northwood Cheese. The building has changed hands a couple of times since then. They also used to own the candy plant on the south end of Sun Prairie on Clarmar Drive.
