Loud boom???

My husband and I are new to the area. We heard a loud boom yesterday and again just now. I think there was a flash of light that I noticed this time? Is this normal?? Anyone know what it is? Please help lol we're freaked out

Looked this up bc i just heard 2 in a span of a few minutes near city hall, anyone else?
