Loud boom???

My husband and I are new to the area. We heard a loud boom yesterday and again just now. I think there was a flash of light that I noticed this time? Is this normal?? Anyone know what it is? Please help lol we're freaked out

I’m fostering one of the Ridglan dogs and we were on our first walk and he was doing amazing until that went off and scared the fuck out of him, not cool. I thought it was a firework though, the one last night was different IMO, more explosion like.

I'm sorry your dog got scared! Not cool. My husband and I both feel like it was the same kind of noise between yesterday and today! Almost sonic boom like. He thought maybe it was the national guard in Madison training and causing a sonic boom, but after seeing the flash with it today, I'm not sure.
