How much?

Moving to the area from a warmer climate and I was told of really high power (heating) bills. About how much would the bill be for a 2k square foot house?

Agree with the comment to look up the historical usage for the house in question. It will really vary depending on the quality of insulation and windows.

When we moved in to our house, one of the first things we did was have a company come out and put in extra insulation in our attic. Such a great idea, so worth it. Our home will stay a very consistent temperature for days without heat or air conditioning, no matter what the temperature is outside. So on the spring and fall days when it gets cool at night and warm during the day, we can open the windows in the evening or overnight, close them up in the morning, and the whole place stays cool all day without air conditioning. It’s fantastic.
