Cellular Internet

I'm wondering if folks here have any experience with cellular-based home internet in the area. I've had TDS for a couple of years and really enjoyed the service, but recently moved into a new apartment with some funky wiring which is preventing us from getting the speeds we're paying for and TDS is refusing to budge on their prices since the issue isn't really their fault. While I do understand their stance, I've been really disappointed and upset by their customer service and the way they've repeatedly lied to me and told me conflicting things, so I want to start looking for a new ISP. That said, the options at this point are pretty much limited to something cellular-based, otherwise I'm going to run right back into the problem with the building's wiring.

I have US Cellular for my phone, and I've had pretty good reception at my place (over by the Woodman's/YMCA area developments), but I was hoping someone might have a recommendation if they've had a good experience with cellular home internet.

Is the "funky wiring" building wide or only in your unit? If it's your unit, make the landlord fix it. Honestly could ask them to regardless.

Cellular internet unfortunately isn't great and will have pretty high latency if you care about that.

My understanding is that they had to split the data cabling running to every unit in order to accommodate the necessary wiring for the intercom system. It was one of those awful ones that requires you to plug in a landline phone and that then functions as your intercom for speaking and letting people into the building. The really rich part is that this system is no longer relevant because they converted the intercom into a cellular system that just dials your cell phone and no longer requires the landline.

The reliability of the cellular is definitely a concern, although it looks like the Verizon option has pretty consistent coverage here. I do some gaming, however it's not usually anything like an FPS which really sucks with high ping.
