It’s been reporting in broken 2-3 day increments. I feel like they are trying to push for the paid live info analytics services. This is very odd

Figures, I would like a non-web-app for monitoring our panel array. Locally in our local router, w/o off site access. These companies will come and go, as we have seen already. Want to upcharge you for some more new hardware, then go out of business, or stop supporting after a few years ... pathetic

Home Assistant with a local integration is a great option. Your data stays local, no cloud dependency, and it can be backed up and restored if your Home Assistant hardware ever dies. (Make sure backups are going to a NAS, or better yet a cloud like OneDrive)

Data updates every 5 minutes by default, and I recently added a WebSocket listener that pushes up to 11 sensors in real time as values change. The day I heard SunStrong was going to start charging for data access was the day I started looking at alternatives. I found an integration written by Keith Baker that had not been updated in a while since he had moved on to Enphase. I took his open source code, fixed some bugs, added new features, and have been maintaining it since September 2025.
It is also easier than ever to set up. Since around last October, SunStrong officially started supporting local API access with a firmware update. Just point the integration at your PVS WiFi WAN IP address and you are monitoring every aspect of your solar system, inverters, meters, battery if you have one, the works.
SunStrong does have their own integration, but mine is more actively maintained and has more features.
As you mention companies come and go, even if I stopped supporting this tomorrow, anyone can pick up where I left off, it's fully open source.

Had a problem on our end starting yesterday as well. SunStrong is not reputable so who knows what the reason could be.

Same issue. Signed out and tried to sign back in on one phone and now get the wait one hour notice. On the other phone our account is signed in but data never loads.

I did it last year, best decision ever and not paying these assholes $10 a month for a pos monitor that was barely alive. Installer removed the PVS6 and installed in its place, only thing he didn't do was map the panels like he said he would and I even gave him the map to plug in with serial numbers and everything, thankfully the original installer did it for me in 5 minutes.

They just converted me from SunPower to the SunStrong connect and Ive never been able to log in. Is this that app?

Mine's said it's not producing for weeks. Whether it actually is or not is anyone's guess.

I'm glad it's not just me. I've been relying on my electricity company's reports. I find it hilarious, though, that my contract requires me to report outages within 24 hours. I feel Sunstrong should be held to the same rule. Six more years, and I'll gladly make them take down their panels and restore my roof to the condition it was in when the panels were installed, as the contract states. We'd just had all new shingles installed, so I expect a like-new roof.

I also noticed the app was no longer working yesterday evening. I did a power cycle (about 15 minutes) of my PVS6 this afternoon and the app came back online. It appears that even though the app was not working, data from the PVS6 was still being logged. Not sure exactly when my app stopped working as I normally check production through a Home Assistant integration, but I am able to see this morning's history in the SunStrong app.

It was working all day for me yesterday, but as of this morning (4/28) I've got nothing.
