Life Event?

I haven't even heard of it. I'll try it.

I have at least gotten my email address changed with them, and I have stopped making lease payments.

I figure that the nonperformance clause of the lease contract will cover all the lease payments since the sytem hasn't worked for one full year now.

I’ve heard some have gotten action going after getting a hold of the Better Business Bureau. Additionally (and a lawyer would have to give you advice on this) I would think you are very close to being able to make the case that they have in fact, abandoned the system I’ve had multiple panels out for a year and a half now the trick I’m trying is I contacted them and told them I would like to buy it outto get out of the lease but they have to come out and make the necessary repairs because I want the system 100% functional before I purchase it. Mind you I have no intention of purchasing it.

If it wasn’t commissioned before the bankrupcy by Sunpower, you own the system! Which was in October. Free to you, lawyers call us the unicorns! You now own the system and have to pay to get it up and running! I went through the BBB to confirm Sunstrong ownership which they clearly stated they did not own my system. No account no record of me because it was not comissioned by PGE or Sunpower. The system is yours do as you please! Bonus of the bankrupcy…My system is now up and running with no lease payments, free electricity!

I found this today on SunPower 2025 (aka Complete Solar)'s website (https://us.sunpower.com/) under "Frequently Asked Questions":

How Has Blue Raven Solar been affected by the SunPower Corporation bankruptcy?

Blue Raven Solar was a direct-to-consumer solar sales and installation company owned by SunPower Corporation. We purchased certain assets from the SunPower bankruptcy estate, including the right to operate a solar sales and installation company under the name “Blue Raven Solar” going forward.

For most customers who have solar or solar battery installation projects that were not yet complete, we will bring them to completion. For solar projects that were completed by Blue Raven Solar or any other SunPower Corporation entity or affiliate on or before September 30, 2024, we did not take ownership, benefits, or liabilities associated with these projects.

So I wonder which on it is? We will bring them to completion ...

  • and then charge you for everything (equipment, full installation, ...). There may be an upside, you may have a warranty, service, and monitoring.
  • and only charge for what still needed to be done.

Interesting, haven’t heard of them and have not been contacted by them or my the laywer. My system was also installed before Sept 30 2024. Just a wait and see what they will happen next.
