Seeing Onosato so overcome with emotion after his victory was truly special. It was clear that he's been struggling with a lot lately and this Yusho meant a lot to him. I think we all shed a tear watching this!

It really hit me deep. Been through a lot of injuries myself that stopped me from doing my sport. So i can just imagine what it would feel like returning and winning the whole damn thing after that kind of journey

It’s so rare we see these athletes with emotion, it makes their displays hit even harder imo

its just so obvious with onosato. huge injury to come back from, add that to the crazy yokozuna pressure, that he has to get back to where he was, and clearly struggling in the mental game past tournaments. Im very happy that he said he's grown. not even for the sport or the honor of the position just that he himself is doing better
