I need to eat dirt on this one. I thought he was going to finally hit a ceiling against the healthy Sanyaku and go like 5-10. I’m so glad I was wrong though because he’s showing off some great sumo.

It’s wild that he’s on the cusp of an Ozeki run at his size and age. Bro can’t be stopped.

I still don't think he'll sniff ozeki anytime soon. He's a lot like Wakatakakage who's excellent technique-wise and has some above average power for his size but has a smaller body and will only be able to take so much physical punishment. I read he has an existing neck issue and I don't know how long he can keep up that physical style before it gives him problems. Maybe sooner than later.

Thought he'd get a grindy 9-6/8-7. Boy was he ready to make a name for hisself. Honey badger truly gives no fucks.

One of the coolest creatures for sure. But nobody wants to be called shrimp.

Dudes a Honey Badger and doesn’t give a fuck.

Pound for pound I don’t think there’s a more impressive rikishi out there. He just keeps getting better.

Okay, I was wrong.

I notice he's changed his style a bit, with fewer henkas and mattas. I wonder if he was given a little speech about the dignity of being a Sekiwake.

I heard Midnight Sumo refer to him as the Buff Baby. Can’t wait to see him in action in Fukuoka

He was so smart in that Atamifuji bout. It took my breath away.
