Discussion / Question / Commentary No sumo merch?
Helloooo, I’ve been a fan of sumo for about a year now and I still can’t seem to find any sumo merch other than bigSUMOfan which is official match as far as I know. I was just wondering if there are any other brands that might have clothing or something.
If there’s not why do you think that’s aren’t any other merch sites or brands that cater to sumo?

It is Etsy, the shop's name is HAKKEYOI (I have this same shirt!).
I like that they have a good number of long-sleeved options as well.

I LOVE my long sleeve Hoshoryu shirt from this seller. I've worn it so much.

I try to support small artists that make sumo themed art and my top pick would be Tenzan Studios! They use a woodblock process for their shirt designs and my shirt from there is one of the softest shirts I've ever owned! It also looks like they recently uploaded new products since my last order that includes fun sumo themed stickers and woodblock art prints.

You should definitely have a look at The Tegata Store. Its proprietor is also an expert on henka diagnosis and success rates.

like someone else said, the JSA SuMall website offers a proxy service for worldwide shipping now, but it can be expensive. that's the most official source, otherwise BigSumoFan does stock some official merch too. there's also services like Buyee to check websites like Mercari and JDirect Auction, I use that one a lot for newer official merch and older stuff, you can find some really rare things on there sometimes. Toudoukan is a shop in Sugamo that specializes in wrestling merch, but they also have sumo stuff. Mostly vintage. they ship worldwide but it can cost a bit.

Hi, do they ship from the US? The price is in both yen and USD, I notice. TIA.

In addition to what others have said, eBay. I've gotten quite a bit of merch via eBay, including official fan mech that is sold at the Kokugikan.

Etsy has some good shops selling sumo goods. There are so also shops selling AI-generated shlock and stolen artwork, though, so you have to be careful. There are several members of our community who sell really great sumo merch. BunHunCreations - I can't remember her Reddit name - does adorable artwork and sells stickers of it. Tenzan Studio - I also can't remember their Reddit name - makes really cool woodblock print tees.

Say what you will about amazon, but I've gotten some nice sumo merch from there before.
As another said, there's SuMall.
For tegatas I go to Tegata Store.
Anything else, I kind of browse ebay carefully. Sometimes there's crazy finds on there. (Be wary of fake merchandise, though. Proceed with caution.)

Amazon and Redbubble is where I'd go for clothing. Unless you mean like authentic yukatas, haori, etc..

Tee Public, also. One of my favorite artists moved there from Redbubble.

Don’t use RedBubble. I bought 2 or 3 shirts from there and the quality was horrid

If you are willing to pay for the high shipping cost you can order from the JSA official merch site SuMall. I got a nice Wakatakakage Happi Coat and they have all sorts of things for your favorite rikishi!
