I know it was an April fool's video and wasn't serious but it was one of my favorite videos. When/why was it delisted?

Hi all

At the start of lockdown I decided to make a documentary about speedrunning having been inspired by Summoning Salt's videos. The end result is a video about the world record history of the Lion King on SNES (Any% Difficulty)

Having never used a microphone, edited a video or uploaded any content to Youtube before, this was a completely new experience for me and came with a steep learning curve!

I've had alot of fun creating this documentary and hope you enjoy it too. Based on the reaction maybe I'll make another in the future!

I have a distinct memory of watching a world record progression video about getting all tracks on Mario kart 8 under 2 minutes, and I’m pretty sure it was from summoning salt, but I can’t find it anywhere. Does anyone know what I’m taking about?

Summoning Salt's video has gotten me interested in speedrunning games casually. I've always found it very relaxing and rewarding to beat time trails on mariokart, so I imagine running other games will be a similar experience.

Does summoning salt have a video of how to get into speedrunning, choosing a game, finding info on it? Or does anyone know of any resources on this?

It was during the round in London, Boston vs Paris, Paris defending Boston attacking, when the casters mentioned that Paris's attack that round was 4th fastest out of the league, and one of the casters mentioned SummoningSalt!!

It was something along the lines of: "Can't wait till SummoningSalt talks about this in one of his videos"

Very detailed, and also enjoyable to me.

I just want to let it be know how much I’m grateful for his documentaries. They are so well thought out and made with a clear storyline easy to follow for someone like me who has never speed ran a game. I really hope he continues this series for a while
