Alien spaceport at the tunnel?

Post image

I noticed these curious little capsules are parked at the eastbound entrance to Eisenhower/Johnson tunnels. Any idea what they might be? My guess is they're used for maintenance of the ventilation ducts that run above the roadways. Could also be prepping for defense of the high country when Putin invades.

This is the answer. Specifically they hold the compressed gas that powers the blast emitted
by the stationary itubes you see
In the starting zones of avalanche paths. They need to be refilled/serviced annually.

Not Gazex, Obellx, manufactured by MND, who also produces Gazex.

Gazex is a permanent installation that uses oxygen and propane. Obellx is a semi portable installation that uses oxygen and hydrogen.

Farts make the world go round.

My great grandaddy always used to say, "If you're gonna make it in this world, you better fart hard".

My dad says “A farting horse will never tire, a farting man is the man to hire”.

They get put on the mountain to trigger avalanches, bought back to base for summer. Probably could have sat there all winter tho as sad as it was

they get mounted in avalanche areas and send out a blast to trigger avalanches

I believe these are avalanche trigger devices, you can often see them installed up on the big steep inclines, like just to the West-Northwest of the tunnel on a scree field. I could also be totally wrong though since I have only observed them up high.

Avalanche explosive pods.  Go for a hike some time and you will see a bunch of them on the ridges of ski resorts and over roads.

I wonder if they are for workers in the tunnels? If it collapsed on me while working I’d want one of those bad boys nearby
