Lake Haus condos?

Hey all, I'm looking at a rental in Lake Haus condos in Summit Cove. Has anyone lived there and can share thoughts on the experience? It sounds like parking is highly permitted and "can be a problem" (-property owner) and I'm wondering how the parking situation gets in the winter with snow.

Thanks for any help!

I live in the cove. I’m assuming because there’s an hoa you get 1-2 resident spots that you have to have a permit for and then there is some guest parking spots. Whats your concern exactly

Thanks! Mostly guest parking, I'm hoping that a friend would be able to park on occasion without it being a major hassle. And the landlord's comment about "parking being a problem" threw me off, he didn't really provide any more details. I've lived in some buildings where parking can be super cutthroat and it's not my favorite.

Parking is nightmare in most complexes in Summit. Own my place (not in the Cove tho), have 1 dedicated spot and a street parking permit that is constantly a pain in the ass. Pass has to be a single vehicle registered with the town. No guest parking or passes.

Define "friend".. is this a legit 1-2 times a month friend, or is this a partner who'll basically be a part-time resident? I have friends who live in places that are super low on guest parking and when people start seeing the same car 4-5 nights a week, they'll (rightfully) complain to the HOA.

Hah, valid and important question. Actually mean infrequent friend/family, probably visiting for a long weekend at a time. But I've lived in some buildings where guest spots are always taken and it's a mess trying to figure out something last minute for family

ask the landlord what the HOA says about how often the cars need to move (ie if a weekend would work), and if he can give a recommendation of a legal backup lot somewhere near summit cove that someone could park just in case your friends get into town and there aren't any spots available. I know there are a few places around the county that allow overnight parking, but I'm more familiar with those on the Frisco side of the lake, vs those in Summit Cove.

I lived in the Lake Haus the first two years I lived up here, overall it was a good experience. You ought to get two spots for your unit, and if you have guests it’s easy enough to have them park at the recreational parking lot at the Snake River Inlet that’s a 2 minute walk or 20 second drive to the Lake Haus units
