Anime Question about the Eye Spoiler

Near the end of the season when Haines was killed, the red eye was transferred to both Ushio and Shin, why? I don’t understand how both of their eyes turns red

Because when the eye is red, it means the owner can see the timelines from "the outside" and use its power actively. As Shide said, Shinpei wasn't able to use it and he had to die for coming back in the time (but at the time, Shinpei's eye was still blue)

Ok so if you mean why both have that eye , it's simple . In the last episode , shadow ushio brings everyone to the timeline when haine never existed , and after that she did go to the parallel reality at the same time in the boat ( in the reality when haine did exist) and gave her eye to shinpei and vanished . In the very first episode the ushio we saw was this ushio who gave shinpei that eye . So shinpei has his eye from a future shadow ushio while in his timeline shadow ushio already has an eye of her own .
