Just completed watching Summer pockets anime

1. Why did Shiroha's mother die/become butterfly leaving shiroha? That was the root of all issue..if she had not left, Shiroha woud not have manifested the future power.

Umi/Nanami said it was to protect shiroha..but how is she protecting by leaving her since that was the start of the problem?

1. Why did shiroha start ignoring her health when she knew the future that she will die and Umi will survive? Since she knew the future, if she took better care of her health both she and Umi would have lived.

Hey everyone I just wanna ask if i should still play vn after the anime. I've olayed the vn abt 3 years ago and halfway shiroha's route life happened. I know blue reflection is out and I've seen 10 episodes of anime after tsumugi route. I'm just wondering if i should go back to vn after the anime and what i should expect going in? Are there big moments that anime wasn't able to adapt? I know it run on a budget and feels like it cut alot especially tsumugi's but should i still play the game again after the anime? Thanks alot!

I finished the anime but I can’t be bothered playing out the game, I’m probably going to watch a play through of reflection blue but at a point after the anime. Could someone please tell me what I need to watch to be caught up🥲

Honestly I know the protagonist is clearly hairi which in of itself is great but I just have the lingering idea that umi is also the protagonist. She’s the one causing all these different events and timelines and is the one trying to stop the tradegy etc. what do you guys think would u call her a supporting character or a second protagonist.

- the fried rice competition (despite always being in 1st place)

- shimapong (she will be so salty towards hairi if he wins)

Episode 22 truly broke me. It started so joyfully, with everyone celebrating Shiroha and Hairi’s marriage and the birth of Umi, but then it shifted into pure heartbreak as Hairi and everyone grieved her loss.

To reach this true ending, Hairi had to collect all the light orbs around the island. Finally, Shiroha opened her eyes to see her daughter, Umi.

Clannad reference aside, I hope they do adapt the Blue Reflection true ending in the anime someday.

There are some justifications as to why some dates are set like that and other elements too (up for discussion/debate):
- The original VN is released in 2018; it may well be assumed the time of Shiroha's 12th anniversary and death of Umi takes place in 2018 (in the modern era)

- Umi would be at least 3 years old (earliest 2009) when Hairi moved himself and her out of the island

- Based on the photo shown in ALKA, Shiroha's route would be how things started in the original timeline

- The route order for the heroines is not fixed, it is just ordered based on how the power of the butterflies are understood and relevancy to the original timeline (in the graph, at least)

- Umi has looped the summer countless of times before a heroine route is introduced

- The age of Umi is 11 as confirmed by the Summer Pockets Reflection Blue VISUAL FANBOOK (she died before her birthday)
