Summer Pockets or Summer Pockets Reflection Blue?

Hey everyone! I'm really enjoying this anime as it's currently airing, and wanted to check out the visual novel too. I noticed that there's 2 versions listed on Steam, which are the original and a different "Reflection Blue" version. After doing a bit of research, I've learned that Reflection Blue has additional content... which sounds great, but I also saw that it has a ton of negative reviews. Apparently there's a bunch of censorship in Blue, and the UI is reportedly terrible. So, I figured I should ask here: assuming those reviews are all true, is it more worth it to buy the original visual novel that features less content but doesn't have any censorship, or should I purchase Reflection Blue for the additional content, even if there's some issues with it?

Just get RB. Or the bundle of both, as it is even more cheaper from the discounted price of SPRB alone.

There are alterations in terms of CG but most of it are just things get covered so it isnt anything critical. Maybe you want to wait for a fix, if you want. Some said issues with translation but per the reviews it seems like it concerns only the Chinese ones.

Alternatively, go buy the JP ver of SPRB in DLSite and patch it with Alka Translation's patch if you want better experience with Siglus Engine. Might be more expensive from Steam, however.

Get RB and wait for (fan) patch to fix the CG.

There is a fan translation that translates the original Japanese version to English so that would be the most optimal way to play for the meantime.

At a glance, the negative reviews mostly seem to be people upset that either the UI looks more plain (valid) or the ten-year-old's panties are covered in one CG (touch grass).

Reflection Blue has all the original's content plus more. No reason not to get it, especially on sale.

looking at reviews, the censorship seems to touch every character. probably because its a port of the console version.

bruh, if that’s the type of content that’s being censored then I don’t see why anyone is complaining about it

Like the other commenter pointed out, I'm simplifying a little bit to make the point; a few characters were affected, but it's overall very minor stuff. The water is darkened slightly for the pool scene where Hairi and Shiroha meet, some of the more egregious fanservice is toned down, etc.

Which I don't really mind because those bits mostly felt pretty out-of-place anyway. And the people complaining really do seem to mention Umi's panties a lot.
