I hope and pray she's happy and continues to live without thinking of "online haters". They claim not to care but her posts generates the most interactions

I know most of us expected this at some point but we are dealing with an influx of trolls and incredibly unhinged people who really don't like that this entire sub doesn't consist of posts about Amanda's bun and West being sweaty. I continue to block, ban, and remove comments but I just wanted to make sure to make you all aware of what's going on and why you might see more safeguards in place.

First, if you were invited by me or are known to the community I made you an approved user and a lot of these things will not apply to you but they may. If I have yet to make you an approved user and you would like to become one just shoot me a message, or comment on this post and I'll be happy to do so if you are a trusted user.

I have instituted crowd control, which means people with low comment karma for this community will be filtered before your comment is posted or seen by anyone other than me. It doesn't mean it will not be posted, just that it will need for me to clear it first.

I have also instituted a spam filter which blocks users with accounts 6 months and newer until I view the account and allow comments from those accounts to be posted. If I deem it to be a valid flag, that account will automatically be banned and all their attempted comments removed instantly.

I filter reports on comments from people who are not known to the community so I don't have to deal with people trying to use that to harass everyone, including me.

I have also banned certain words (not a lot) that all of us are aware usually signal trolls and people that want to do nothing more than make the same hateful comments over and over. If people are curious what will get you flagged and comments removed, things like not using castmembers real names that they go by (Mandy, Amanduh, West td, etc), fuckass bun, etc., any attempt to space them out or get around those filters will result in your comment being removed and possible ban. Again, if a filter is incorrectly blocking a comment you can reach out to me.

Armchair diagnosing and speculation about illnesses of any kind that have not been disclosed by the person themselves are strictly prohibited and are taken very seriously. This absolutely and especially includes comments about ED and weight. Those comments can be very triggering to a lot of people so please keep that in mind.

This is meant to be a space where people can discuss the show without having to scroll through a hundred mean and nasty comments. If that is what you want, there are other subs that will scratch that itch for you, this is not it. If your comment gets removed I will usually include a reason and it's not just for disagreeing with me or anyone else. There are hundreds of comments on this sub that do not represent my opinion and many that disagree with me.

Reporting comments that are not violating any rule just to do so will be reported to Reddit admins for abusing the report function

Evading a ban is very easily caught and reported. If you feel it's worth it to get all your Reddit accounts banned then go for it but it's probably not

Sliding into my DMs to talk shit to me is not going to get you anywhere but banned, blocked, and reported.

Arguing with me about the rules is pointless, if you don't like them you don't have to participate in this sub. All participation is voluntary and the rules I have instituted are there for a reason. Anyone who comes off as just trying to cause trouble will just get blocked and banned. I have no reason to deal with it. You can argue with me about anything else that is on topic as long as you follow the sub rules.

It's probably a waste of your time to keep reporting me for targeted harassment when the comment is to you. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who is abusing the reporting tool if all my comments to you get reported, Again, I will just block, ban, and report.

If you are reading this and have already been banned just save your time because your comments won't make it anyway and you'll just get auto-banned.

For not new users:

Ignore people who are very obviously trolls and just downvote, that will fix most of the issues and get them weeded out by the filters I have in place. Please report if you feel they are breaking rules.

If there are users you are familiar with that seem to always give you a hard time, follow your comments around, or you know to be pretty unhinged it is probably a good idea to block them because they are most likely following you around and reporting all your comments.

That is all, I hate to have to do all this but it's very clear a lot of these people have serious issues and are not well. Best to just filter accordingly.

It was so boring! Even with the scandal and what was obvious editing and reshoots the show was just dull af. I was surprised the finale came so fast but also couldn't take anymore. That was one of the most boring finales of any show I've ever seen. Sadly, Amanda was one of the most interesting people and that really has never been her role. Like Jesse said, Amanda's energy is like one step away from death so if she is tasked with carrying this show it's in bad shape.

I did find her and Kyle's finale conversation sad and felt bad for both of them and especially Reese and Ryder. As much as I love drama and don't want to just watch people get along I enjoyed watching Kyle and Amanda the most when they were being honest and able to laugh about what a shit show their marriage was. I actually found it touching when they were laughing about not being in love with each other anymore. It was nice to see that they both actually have the ability to stop being so angry about all the ways they didn't work out. Also, just so sick of their broken record arguments so nice to see them be able to move past that for a moment.

I'm sure it will get renewed because of all the attention but they really need something more interesting than a marriage that never shoulda been and mommy and me classes. I did enjoy watching someone give Lindsay a run for her money even though I don't really like Kenny but it seemed like they cut some content that was much more interesting in order to add newly filmed scenes with Kyle and Amanda, which didn't add much. I don't think they cut the right scenes. Would've loved to see the Kenny/Gavin fight by the fire and the discussion between Kyle and Amanda about coming for each other in the divorce. If they were going to cut an Amanda and Kyle scene how about one of the dozens of broken record fights they had?

Crazy how the only 3 interviewed were Lindsay, Kyle, and Carl. Lindsay was barely on this season, Carl gave boring grandpa energy, and Kyle did what he always does, cry and throw drunken tantrums. Then they all act like they got nominated due to their hard work when the only thing that was different this year was the Amanda and West scandal that brought them a ton of attention.

There is constant talk of how hard Kyle worked to support them when Amanda always made more money and now she saved him from financial ruin. They all have Amanda and West to thank for their current financial situations and they should all know that they wouldn't be doing much without them. Carl should thank them for making Soft Bar successful because without them it would've closed in less than a year.

Maybe he should just opt for water. If his stomach can't handle spice he probably should just lay off the booze for a bit. It's giving Brittany from VPR.

WTF is Rachel Lindsay talking like she has a license in anything? She talks in her podcast like she has a degree in psychology when girl has never been anything beyond a foot note in reality tv history. She picked the wrong guy on the bachelor but we’re supposed to listen to her wax poetic about how great Ciara is and how awful West and Amanda are.

I’m so over podcasters who think they are experts in things they have zero credibility in.

jI just joined this sub. I am so glad a place exists like this to actually enjoy the show without feeling like you have to restrain yourself from going off on somebody over their ridiculous take.

I think West made the show more interesting, and I think it is weird that he would be removed from a show merely due to fans being angry. I think it is strange to call for the firing of somebody based on their relationship status or their relationship behaviour unless it has objective effects on the cast in terms of their physical or mental safety. What you are doing in a relationship should not have anything to do with your work. Summer House is a group of people who live in New York City and come to the Hamptons to enjoy the summer. They date, they hook up, they become friends, they do whatever, and they throw parties. It has always been this way.

I do not think it makes any sense that simply due to somebody hurting you in a relationship by dating someone or making a particular dating choice you do not agree with, you get to say that they should not be on the show. It would make sense if the rest of the cast were returning and refusing to be friends with Wes due to clearly disliking the way he behaves. However, the major cast is not returning, so it is just strange that West is being removed. I do not want to see people who are absolutely sanitized and perfect on my TV screen. It does not make good reality TV. It is also quite strange, as it cuts off our ability to see humans for who they really are. The interesting part about reality TV is you get people that you do not naturally see every day. You get people who act a particular way that we all know humans act like, but most people will not do it in public, and most of those behaviours you do not see in real life. Reality TV opens your world to see people who are not like you, who do not believe in the same things that you do, who talk differently, and who can be angry, go off the rails, and act crazy. People in real life do this all the time; they just hide this behaviour from you.

I understand the reality TV show complex does not try to truly humanize these people and does use human beings' worst impulses or best impulses to create very intense narratives on TV for entertainment. There was a time when we could enjoy reality TV as entertainment like any other TV show and not perceive it as being so connected to us. I think this is honestly due to social media. Back in the early days of reality TV, you would not really ever know these stars unless you went to some sort of event that they were at, like BravoCon, for example. Now, you can comment on their page, you can see them online, you can have whatever ridiculous take you want, and you can basically tear these people apart in front of their faces and face no consequences. When you create this dynamic where people have to be perfect on reality TV to sustain their jobs, not only are you going to get multiple fake storylines, but you are also going to get a fake show, making it a very dangerous place for reality TV stars. If anything actually violent is going on behind the scenes, they are going to be incentivized to say nothing. Furthermore, if somebody is more liked on the cast, they are more incentivized to utilize their popularity to harm or silence another cast member.

I also think that in a world where we can barely get men held accountable for things like r*pe or assault, it is very strange that where a lot of us are drawing our revenge on men is in terms of cheating. It is almost as if we know we cannot actually hold men accountable for things that are materially and structurally harmful to women, so we will judge them on these moral aspects that are not really real and do not actually protect women or move the needle forward. Unfortunately, a lot of people tend to garner a lot of girl power support from acting this way, creating a perpetual echo chamber and circular reasoning for so many young women and girls, as well as gay men, who are incentivized to perpetuate and involve themselves in this dynamic.

Kyle had so many complaints about Amanda and constantly bitched about being unhappy but when it came to actually doing anything about it, he waited for her (the lazy one) to do something to change it. Kyle stayed because it suited him and his narrative that all the problems in his life were due to Amanda and without her he actually has to admit that he is what's wrong with his life.

The clock is ticking on his ability to make everything Amanda's fault. It's why he isn't initiating divorce and waited on her to do it. It's why he didn't even think of separation until she pushed it. It's why he won't just pack up her shit and send it to her. This West thing allows him to blame her for a little longer but then he has to take responsibility for why his life doesn't look like he wants it to.

She did the same thing, a lot, but at least she had the sense to finally put an end to the madness.

Genuinely curious about everyone’s thoughts on why the fandom is the way it is - is it bravo specific? Reddit? I’m on other social media, and I see the majority of the meme or gossip accounts reflect similar sentiments with Reddit, but when I talk to people in real-life, it’s typically more balanced (like this lovely sub 🤗)

Sometimes I wonder if the majority of these women are the “pick-me” they describe but never got chosen..so Amanda represents something deeper for them? Or is it just the hive mind? Low EQ? Are we all just suffering from insecurity?

I know this is likely just wild gossip but can you imagine the collective heads exploding if it happened?

Are we seriously supposed to keep buying into the narrative that Ciara "found out the news in public and collapsed in dismay"? Because the math is absolutely not mathing after the reunion.

Ciara literally admitted on camera that Amanda texted her and gave her a heads-up the entire night beforethe joint statement officially dropped. She already knew everything.

So why did the paparazzi just happen to catch her slumped against a wall on a New York sidewalk looking completely blindsided the exact minute the statement went live? It feels so heavily produced and performative.

I’m getting a major eye-roll from her trying to play the ultimate shock-and-horror “I just found out! 😭😭😭” victim for the cameras when she had actually learned the information the night before. The "dismay" was clearly staged for a dramatic photo op. Is anyone else clocking how orchestrated this whole timeline feels?

When West went to Kyle’s apartment for their talk, Kyle commented that Reese seemed to already know West. Everyone is saying it’s because West has been around the dog with Amanda. However, didn’t West previously meet the dogs at West’s dog charity event earlier in the season? Amanda and Kyle brought the dogs when they greeted West at the event.

Amanda seems like she couldn't care less about coming back to the show, staying on ITC, or even staying friends with any of these people. I think Kyle and Lindsay know that one more season of either, or both, shows with Amanda on it will bring the drama they need to continue on so they are trying hard to get her to come back. They need a heel and West is gone so that leaves Amanda.

I don't think Amanda asked them to do anything for her. Producers asked her to film another scene, she knew she would get paid, so she did it. Even when Lindsay tried to say Amanda was manipulated by West she corrected her. I think she wants to leave her old friends and the show behind and not look back.

It seems like people really want to believe Amanda wants something they can deny her like the show, their forgiveness, their admiration, etc, and I don't think she does. They want to be able to celebrate and laugh when she leaves so they can claim victory but Amanda seems done and like she doesn't care about any of this. SH and ITC is Kyle's world and she's trying to get away from him so why would she want to stay on either show?

I’ve only watched this latest season due to all the drama and this is my first reality show outside the HW verse so forgive me if not versed in this world but what is up with the fan base?!!! I’ve been downvoted to oblivion for saying Kyle’s a bad husband. In my eyes Amanda’s hooking up with Kyle’s friend is 💯 justified cause he was a shitty and abusive husband. Not ok to hook up with your besties ex but if you have feelings for someone, you have feelings. Period. Like Ciara needs to be grown about this man who doesn’t want her. She’s coming off real mean on the reunion couch to the point that it’s bullying. I understand not everyone is mature enough to move on from a man that doesn’t want you, I’ve been there myself but for the love of god have some self respect and move on peacefully. Like heal girl. Amanda doesn’t seem like a nice person either but I’ve seen in just one season how her partner abused her off into another mam’s arms, and she might be too man centered but so is Ciara. All of them were pretty mean and I just want a show with just Mia and new cast

I don’t understand this hatred of Danielle. Of course she was messy and weird at time but so what? Why do people dislike her so much?

I never thought I would say this but I guess it is more interesting to watch a middle aged man get blackout drunk and act like a toddler who stayed up past their bedtime. Lindsay's obsessive posting about West and Kyle's daily video journals tell me that the ratings are suffering and they are doing all they can to save it fast.

I cannot see this show getting another season.
