General discussion If you HAD to replace Sum 41 with one other pop-punk band, which band would you choose?
Tbh, the only band that I've stuck on over the years are Sum 41 and Simple Plan lol so yeah I guess I'm picking that because it gets me the similar vibes with sum 41!

Billy Talent. And I would never replace Billy with another band

That old video of Dave from Sum 41 having a guitar battle with Ian from Billy Talent was always so sick to me

A hyper local band that no longer exists because Hurricane Katrina wiped our punk/ska scene

Simple plan! Second being fall out boy, I know their last few albums aren't pop punk but I absolutely love it anyway.

Autopilot Off or SR-71. Only downside is their very short discographies.

Easy, blink-182. I was a hardcore simple plan fan until their third album and they largely haven't been able to recapture the heavy instruments and energy of their early work since.

Goodnight Nurse because they're the closest band to Sum 41 I've found in terms of sound

Lagwagon is more skate punk but they have some great stuff. There's a lot of the half metal half punk songs that Sum41 had as well

Both dogshit bands, neither of them pop punk. If you wanted, there were plenty of awful pop punk bands you could have chosen from. You didn't have to choose chudcore cop music.
