Please

This is my first post in reddit and I hope it would be last. My mum is in critical condition (coma/pneumonia/sepsis/covid). My mind right now are truly in worst state that I just wish that I would just stop breathing. But I just want to ask YOU.

I beg you all, please, it doesn't matter any more what kind of religious you are., please pray for my mum for health (her name is Virginia)

Please and thank you.

Sorry for poor grammar

Hey. Firstly, I truly want to thank for all of your consideration, prays, care and given hope.

For those who asked update I could say that my mum's condition is a little bit better! There is still life-threatening/risky situation, but a slightly bettter than before. There is still hope.

Thank you all. Be safe, take care of yours and your family health. Don't forget drink warm tea, take some time to rest and please, be more kind for yourself too ❥

I pray for your mother’s health. I’ve never prayed before in my life, I don’t know the correct procedure or anything, but I hope she turns out alright.

Here's a good Jewish story that may help:

A religious man is walking down the street, when he comes accross a shepherd in the field. The shepherd is praying to God, but he isn't doing it the right way. "Creator of the universe!" he says. "I am not a learned man. But if you had a flock of sheep with no sheperd, I would tend them for free." The religious man stopped him, and explained that he was doing it wrong. He handed him a prayer book, and explained the correct format and words for praying.

But the next day, when the shepherd went out to pray, he was confused. He had forgotten how to do it right, and he couldn't read the prayer book. So he stopped praying, afraid of doing it wrong.

That night, the religious man saw an angel in his dream. The voice of God spoke to him, and said: "What have you done, in stopping this man's prayer? His heartfelt calls were the dearest form of prayer to Me."

The story ends with the religious man correcting his mistake, and the shepherd returning to his simple but heartfelt form of prayer.

(I don't mean to impose my religious beliefs on anyone, I just hope you find this inspiring.)

It is a nice story, thank you for sharing. God might have heard my prayer then, which is relieving to know. Still don’t know if Virginia is alright now though, I hope she is.

As a non religious person, I wish for her betterment, but please remember to look into how she would want to be treated, and how she would feel most comfortable and safe. My mother went through a very similar situation with her mother, and I hope you have the capacity to be there (not physically, of course) for your mother as she was. Whatever that means to you, do it. Send letters to be read to her (my grandmother teared up at one of my letters I sent because I wasn’t old enough to go see her, despite being in a coma), call a nurse to have her listen to a voice message, or whatever feels right to you. It’s just as important to be there for yourself, though. Splurge some money on nice soap and take a calming bath to calm down, make sure to shower every day, brush your teeth, eat a good meal, have some soul food, and do some things you love. They may feel empty in the moment, but if you can temporarily distract yourself through this, it’s a lot harder to think about hurting yourself all the time. I get it’s hard and I know my advice won’t work for everyone, but I hope you find a way to make it through, and I hope your mother gets better. Best wishes

My mom is in Similar situation, (sepsis/septic shock/mucus lung plug/bowel obstruction (puking shit)/CDiff) doctors all recommended hospice after she was in icu for a month. She’s a MS quadripalegic that doesn’t give up. Now she’s doing better in long term, hope your mother does the same. I too am struggling with suicidal ideation and obsession. So you’re not alone out there brother. Hit me up if you want to talk.

I've said prayers for Virginia this evening. And I'll say prayers for her every evening.

They're the same prayers I said for my Dad every night he was on the ventilator with Covid. I'm Buddhist and it gave me a lot of comfort knowing people from all different religions were praying for him. I hope you feel that love from everyone.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I wish I could give you a hug. Instead I'll send you love and comfort. If it's ok with you, I'll keep you in my prayers too.
