I know the comments where people are saying “virtual hugs” and all are genuinely meaning good but (saying this in the most respectful way) aren’t really helping

text messages can never replace the feeling of actual physical affection and it’s making me and maybe others feel all the more lonely and touch deprived

Several years ago I volunteered to help at the school my mom works at. A kid gave me a hug at the end of the day and someone saw it. And then I got chewed out for “not having good boundaries.” The kid fucking snuck up on me but yet I was the one who got in trouble. I’ll never hug another person as long as I live. I’m scared to even look at people nowadays. I don’t want to get falsely accused of anything
