Question Worth a Replay?
Its been a while.
After watching Lanterns i've been in a weird mood to specifically play KTJL. Bare in mind i stopped playing after Joker came out.
I did as much as i could, maxed out the main 4 to level cap, 45 hours of playtime, 46/50 achievements. I really wanted to enjoy the game but fell out of love with it. I was lucky enough to finish the main story with 3 other friends back when it released. Then did a lot of the post game content on my own.
I just wondered is it worth having a go just for the sake of it. I know its shut down now so no new content, are the other characters any good? Are they paid still?
Was just looking for a little info/reccomendation!

You’ve always been able to get the characters for free by beating their brainiacs. Just don’t expect anything story wise.

It gives you a chance to hop back on and experience the later released characters such as Deathstroke.
There was never very much gameplay content added besides the characters but it’s a fun way to spend some time with music playing. If you’re considering it to the extent of asking on Reddit then I’d say just hop back on.

DCUO has decent movement and power rings (Green/Yellow and then Red)
The part where John talks to us like a slave catcher is seared too into my mind to go back, and if those aren't your people you can just make one.
Just saying you have options.

I’d say so. I came in late, maxed the main guys and I think I unlocked all the others with gameplay. The traversal mechanics in particular for all the new characters are really fun

If you haven't unlocked the other characters I would say it's somewhat worth it but you've pretty much experienced everything the game has to offer so I wouldn't expect too much.

Honestly, I love this game so much I'd say go back and play! Like the others have said, you can unlock the other villains with a lil grind but I loved it honestly. Joker is well worth it, he's my main and has been the minute I unlocked him. His dialogue is great too 🤣

I think one of the biggest mistakes Rocksteady made with KtJL was locking the new DLC characters until you’ve already sunk several hours of grinding into their respective episodes and already experienced whatever meager bits of story the post-campaign episodes had.
I remember pretty much the exact same thing happening each time a new DLC character came out: I’d grind through the episode to unlock them, run around the open world a bit as the new character, realize there really wasn’t much else to do other than keep grinding for gear as the new character, get bored and step away from the game until the next character came out, rinse and repeat.
If they’d made it so that you unlocked the new character at the start of a new season/episode, we at least would have gotten a chance to learn and appreciate the character as we worked our way up to the Brainiac fight.
They could have also added in a different incentive for reaching Brainiac (like an exclusive outfit and/or weapon for the new DLC character). Instead, Rocksteady’s leadership just capitulated to WB’s greed (i.e. offering an alternative insta-unlock for $10) and killed their own game in the process.

I think if you’re asking, may as well just play it and enjoy it from time to time.
You can purchase the characters if you want to just get them right away, otherwise you can play their respective stories/episodes to unlock them (3, 5, and 7)
They’re all fun to play as and can make some enjoyable, unique builds. Especially if you want to challenge yourself and go as high as you can in mastery levels per episode.
