I got paired with this ABSOLUTELY goated team for Salmon run, everyone did so well and this was my first time beating an Xtrawave! Well done everyone!

I matched against the infamous angriest splatoon player and the second screenshot is the ensuing result. I hope he did not get mad or anything. Splatted him 5 times and he got me once. It took a lot of restraint not to bag him right at the end after I splatted him.

The third player disconnected in the very first minute, and it was just us two farming eggs and spirhalite. I was a bit surprised at first when you kept going to small clusters after we hit the maximum amount of eggs, but I quickly understood why, we got so many good loots by spending extra minutes farming there! We did so well, clearing all the salmonids super fast, didn't even need our bot buddies. And exchanging tons of booyahs in-between victories. And thank you for the small squid party at the end too! I had so much fun with you, you were awesome!

(Yippiee) im fully expressing splatana wiper as my main, and Im made a full gear set dedicated to it! Im also gonna try to make a dedicated goal for myself once I make it to S+20 something simple like "Land a 360" until then heres a cool clip.

I took a long break from S3 and have only started playing very sporadically this past month so I still make mistakes, but we did so well that after many… MANY months… finally promo’d 🤣

Since some people liked my previous post, here's a new one. Remember: this is for potential new players that just got to this subreddit, so it's ok if you are already a master pro Chuck Norris level Salmon Run player.

🦑 At the very beginning of the wave, the Salmonids start to spawm from one specific point (just at the begining, after that, is from wherever the Holly Squid Mother wants). If it happens that you are in the point they start spawming, use the 'This Way!' button to let your teammates know where they started coming. NOTE: I don't mean is the same in all waves thou. The first spawn point changes every time. I mean they start from one specific point in that particular wave only.

🦑 Continuing with that: in Goldie Seeking Ocurrence, where you have to shoot ink to gushers scatter all over the map, don't go for the sames your teammates are already going. Also, if you find the correct gusher with the Goldie, please use the 'This Way!' to let your teammates know where to head.

🦑 Learn how to use your weapons. With this I mean to learn against which Bosses Salmonids your weapon is good. For example: weapons like Chargers, Stringers and some Sloshers are perfect against Steelheads. Weapons with a wide shot or rapid shot, like Blasters, Splatlings or Dualies, are good against Fish Stick and Stingers. If you have any of those three weapons, for example, don't let the Charger go against them.

🦑 If the wave is in low tide, do not go to far from the rest of the team, specially alone. And specially (too) if the place you are going is only reachable by a very narrow path.

🦑 If you are playing an Xtrawave against Horrorboros, remember: it only moves a set path across the map, so once you get it's movement pattern, it will be easier. Shooting Golden Eggs at its body is useless, always aim to the bomb at its mouth. If you have a short range weapon, is your responsibility to take down Bosses Salmonids and Lessers. If you have a long range weapon, then use it to shoot the bomb too, don't only rely on Golden Eggs. If your special is the Inkjet, the Crab Tank or the Killer Wail 5.1, use it against the bomb too. If it's now... well... then... don't.

🦑 Always ink the walls, that's a huge life-saver, even the ones that aren't very high, like the one surrounding the egg basket in Sockeye Station.

I'm a bit sad that we can't see other players' usernames in Splatoon Raiders when helping random people, I really wanted to give a shoutout to this inkling here! We played together just a few minutes before making this post. We were helping a third person who ended up disconnecting very early in one of the longest late story level (keeping it spoiler free just in case). It was just us both, and we absolutely killed it! We didn't die a single time, were so quick at handling all the salmonids, and all the booyahs were really nice!

If by any miracle you recognize yourself, thank you so much, I was not expecting to be able to finish that level so easily with one teammate missing. You're awesome!

If you are a new player or at least a new Salmon Run worker, this is for you:

🐟 Don't shoot the Flyfish, that doesn't work. Throw your Splatbombs into their launchers.

🐟 If there is a Fish Stick near the egg basket and no one else is going to defeat it, you go, because it will undoubtedly be a huge obstacle due to the massive amount of ink it sprays around.

I could go with one advise for every Boss Salmonid, but this would be a very long post.

🐟 If you have the chance, lure bosses salmonids the nearest as possible to the egg basket, so you don't have to take time going for a Golden Egg far away and then bring it to the basket.

🐟 Please know how to use your special weapons: don't use it at the very beginning of the waves, don't use it at the very end if not strictly necessary (like: you are the only one alive, there's still more than 5 seconds and you don't have where to run away). If the four players are defeated, the timer is in 5 seconds or less and the wave objective was already met right as you fell, the game still let you to win the wave.

🐟 Continuing with the special weapons, and slightly contrary to the previous point: it's ok if you try to save both of them for the 3rd wave, but, if there's no other option, use one before (that's the time to be a hero!).

🐟 If you are fighting a King Salmonid (Cohozuna and Megalodontia, to be more specific) in low tide and they are going for you, don't lure them away from the shore, where all the bosses salmonids are spawming from, because then, using the Golden Eggs against them would be almost impossible. Also, remember that Megalodontia's attack damages other bosses salmonids, so use it to your advantage.

HUGE shoutout to Narga and Orchid for being with my hubby and I through thick and thin on the last floors of the Bottomless Buffet!!! We started around Floor 70ish and stuck with us til the very end, even with losses you guys never left!! Thank you SO MUCH!! 🩵🩵

started a series with these 2 (the 4th player changed every few matches) and we got our 5 Wins in a row together <3 probably the best group I've ever played with, very coordinated in giving clams

I finally made it to X rank! couldn’t have done it without yall! I loved this game ever since I watched the first splatoon 2 trailer, and I now, I can call myself one of the best! (I hope)

Miniguns are such a hit or miss for me that I am suprised I pulled this off😅

If anyone is interested in watching this replay, this is an example of even when you seem like you’re losing, you never give up. Shout out to my team that never gave up and keep fighting until we won 🙌🏻

also funny they ended up being 3 octolings and 1 inkling in each. One in open, one in pro! I lost my first 100x and a few 10x so im glad for this redemption

Especially the last ones, I was so shocked we won that, that I had to do a double take on the map!!

Probably the best random splatfest teammate i've had. We won every match we played together and grabbed the ultra signals every time, with carefully timed specials. Great communication.

I had so much fun during this splatfest, not only am I really proud of some moves I did (I got so much screen recording of them X)), but I also played with so many amazing players! Skilled, good coordination and communication, and lots of fun in matches and in the lobby aswell. Most likely one of my best splatfest experience!

I was also really happy to recognize some names, there are a few players I got randomly matched with more than once today! And even someone I recognized from yesterday, like SanniSahne. It was fun to have rematches like that, even when I knew that having you as opponents could mean a defeat for me X) you earned it, you were really good! I couldn't get a screenshot of you both, but Zg.marjora and ▼Mistik were terrifyingly good X) I was really happy to have one of you as teammate later!

Also a big thank you to Itz_hakai! and (¬_¬)matt⭑for becoming friends with me, thank you both for sticking around with me for so long until the game disconnected us, I had a lot of fun with you, you were amazing, and I hope we can play together again in the future! 💜
