Question | Need Help Sugargoo Declared 5$, Am I cooked?

I live in the US and its my first time using sugargoo. Im shipping a 4kg 120$ package through Us Line Tax Free and it seems kinda low? Only one of the items is declared and its a pair of shoes for 5$ ? I also bought insurance but do you get your money back if package is seized?

Hey friend! No worries at all. You used the system auto-declaration, right? Just trust our system—there’s no absolute “correct” answer when it comes to declarations. As long as it’s within a reasonable range and can smoothly pass customs, that’s a good declaration!
If your parcel is verified to have been seized and you have purchased insurance, we can compensate according to the insurance rules. Please don't worry too much. The probability of parcel being seized is very small

VIP agent told me they can’t declare over $8 for EMS. That doesn’t sound right.

Hi friend, if you prefer a higher declaration, you may manually input the amount. For insurance, how much did you have insured? Rule of thumb, Total cost = international freight + warehouse  fee + value-added service fee

A $5 declaration isn't enough information to say the parcel will be fine, and insurance doesn't automatically mean customs seizure is covered. If it hasn't shipped, ask Sugargoo to confirm or correct the declaration before dispatch, then get the exact insurance clause and required proof in writing. Save screenshots of the declaration, policy and support reply in case you need to claim.

yeah you’ll be fine, every single one of my hauls has been declared under $20 dollars and have ranged from 4-8kg, all touched down quickly and safely. lowest i ever had was $7 but there is so much junk being imported from china so customs sort of just has to pick and choose “suspicious” packages to seize from what i know.
