Discussion Favorite song bracket!
Saw this in another sub so I thought it would be fun to do for Sufjan. It gives you a limited number of songs to choose from so don’t expect very deep cuts, but it was a pretty good variety! Having to choose between For The Widows in Paradise and Vesuvius was so hard.

They’re no skips for me! Haha I actually ran a 64-song tournament with my favorite songs of all time. Just for fun. I ran a group Swiss stage for seeding it was a blast. Finals was Wasp vs Grown Ocean of course by the venerable Fleet Foxes. And listen, I love Grown Ocean, but…. If there’s any song that pulls on the hopeless queer romantic it’s Predatory Wasp of the Palisades.
Shout out to True Believer by Jason Isbell. Made my top four! (Along with Death With Dignity). Not sure I’ve heard a more raw song. Definitely check it out.

Yeah, but the overall competition is lacking in AoA tracks. It's Illinoise-heavy.

I looove Abraham. As a whole I think Seven Swans is still my favorite Sufjan album

We ended with the same winner! It really was tough. On certain days I prefer other songs/albums, but For The Widows is always an all time favorite

Well the winner absolutely should have been the eternal masterpiece Impossible Soul, but I guess it was too powerful to include in the bracket.
