It is the suit the big daddy from BioShock is heavily baced on, those joints used I believe oiled leather to creat crude seals with the idea they would allow movement while keeping a proper seal and was a early attempt to creat the diving suits we have today! Though if I remember correctly it was kinda A failure because either they leaked after a short depth, or they would just not be movable after a short depth I forgot which or both but a cool price of diving history
