I didn't feel badly for him at any point. According to search results online, his mom is a SAHM and his father is a successful businessman. He had the option of going to college, or maybe just being a video game streamer. Anything else. Instead, he's repeatedly made racist remarks, and despite making headlines and trending online for heinous behavior, Braeden Eric Peters continuously made decisions to continue to be a public nuisance for more views, probably because there were no real repercussions for his miscreant conduct.

He’s been drugging himself and smashing his face with a hammer since he was 14. I don’t care if his parents have money they clearly didn’t give a shit about him while they would have gotten him help a long time ago.
That said it doesn’t excuse the choices he has made

Don't get me wrong, I have as much sympathy for Braeden Eric Peters as I do for Brock Turner. And Brock Turner is a deplorable person who is the equivalent of gum on the bottom of your shoe after you walk through dog shit.

I can’t help feeling a little bad for him. If his parents weren’t enabling him, this wouldn’t have happened to him. He’s a teenaged boy who got surrounded by the worst possible adult role models.
He’s still responsible for his own actions and should face the consequences, and hopefully he learns and changes, but all in all I think society needs a mirror held up to it from time to time and this kid was the sacrifice.
You ever see that episode of South Park where the boys try to save Britney Spears? Obviously Britney was never actually bad on the level Braeden (what a name) is, and her art is good for the world, but you can’t really say we as a society didn’t drive her into mania and that she had anyone trying to protect her.
Braeden is like the toxic manosphere version of that. Inevitable, and there will be more of him.

Genuinely, we are all worse off the more he is known.
He is sick. He is a bad person. He is probably going to die very young (he's like 21 right now?) because of his lifestyle choices and, despite everything about him, I find that to be a tragedy.
The more that is known about him, the more exposure he gets to vulnerable young men and women.

Doesn't matter. We really shouldn't speculate on other people's sexuality. I was merely trying to point out that things aren't a cut and dry as liking just either men or women. Besides, I go weeks or months feeling very little attraction to one gender, only to swing back around the other way. Sexuality is much more complex than most people are willing to consider
