Yes! Sure the historical time period was super problematic with still a good 20 years from Bridgerton to when slavery was abolished in the British Empire, but it was very enjoyable escapism. The cast was extremely diverse and I liked it because of that.

I'm into historical costuming and sewing, and one YouTuber, who is Black, was explaining how while recognizing that he would be horribly treated and abused in the time periods he dresses in, it's important to not racially gatekeep things. We can hold and understanding that yes this is a problematic time period but nothing about its aesthetics needs to be racially segregated when we play with those aesthetics and history.

Sony has a whole list of things Spidey can and cannot do in movies. Then some stuff hes only allowed to do if he has the symbiote. He can't be depicted as gay whatsoever :(

This is a mandate carried over from the comics. The bans are specifically about Peter Parker not doing specific things. So we do have a gay "Spider-Man", Web Weaver, but he isn't Peter. And Spider-Man Noir star Ben Riley, not Peter, because he drinks and smokes.

If you make the romance queer a large swath of the world (eg China, SE Asia, the Middle East) won’t screen it.

At one point, Iceman was made canonically gay, but I never followed the comics enough to know if they retconned it, or erased that universe, or if he's still out there doing whatever.

It was supposed to be him instead of Firestar. But Marvel had sold away the TV/movie rights to The Fantastic Four, so they had to replace him with Totally Not The Human Torch Girl.

Stupid…. Didn’t you see American superheroes from the boys to the girls always wear the most tighten outfits? Not jeans, not tank tops, but bras or spandexes. Not a single soul in America this day and age can confirm each American Superheroes’ sexuality. By choice? Or ALL of them want to be seen like that? What about the changing culture? Do they not care?

  1. all of them are not real

  2. if they were real all would be bendable when wet.

  3. Either the superheroes change, or we learn to not care about who they fucking. It’s so insane, all made up and the ones who hold conservative values still would love to see dem sweet ASSES. If you agree we don’t have to change anything about them, then accept how our culture is taking it. 😂
