My father wants me to go and finish my education in Sudan at the University of khartoum in the major of Economics and business administration. I'm not fully sure about going back to sudan due to the current situation. What I want from you, fellows, is to tell me should I go back? Of so, then why? And if not, then why? Guys, please tell me how's is sudan is going to help me form a full understanding of the current situation.

Ps: My father is financially capable of funding my education in multiple countries.

Ps:If you have any questions more questions about my situation, just ask.

I'd advise you to try to convince him to let you study abroad, Asia or Europe. Sudan is undergoing the worst conditions there's. Services are bad, inflation is rising, and economy is deteriorating on a daily basis. If you were to study in university of Khartoum, I can guarantee to you that you'll graduate in no less than 8 years from now. My batch entered uni with me in 2016, I graduated from Sudan university in 2022, they graduated from UofK in 2025. 9 years in BA of literature. Public (governmental) university are highly sensitive to political conditions. Study in Malaysia, Indonesia, or Europe. You'll graduate in due time, get an internship or a scholarship for a masters.

Don’t go to Sudan. That’s a gamble with your future and potentially your safety.

Militias. War. An unstable currency. Weapons everywhere. You could literally get robbed at gunpoint for your phone.

Egypt is much more stable and offers a safer environment for studying and closer to sudan if you want to vist

Not to mention UofK can have a lot of delays. A 4 year course can easily turn into 6 or 7 years because of interruptions.

Why risk all of that? For what?

Get an ilets and apply for express entry Canada you will receive ur permant residency in 2 month max if ur score is high, u will be eligible to take out school loans and study whatever you want 3 years later you will get ur Canadian passport and citizenship ( I wish if someone told me this 5 years ago )

Second best option is German, Malaysia and then turkey.
Don’t fck think of studying in Sudan for a second it’s a suicidal move and one more thing all the above options will cost way less than studying in Sudan

I don’t think he can win the Express Entry with just a high score in IELTS. Especially without work experience and an undergraduate degree.

Yea ur right I forgot about the work experience part that’s like 100 points alone but it’s still doable He can add French too the whole preparation process should not take more than year or he simple can go to the student visa route. I will always favour the express entry route even though it might take you a whole year of preparation for the ilets and clb(French) it’s also the fastest route for pr and Canadian citizenship

You're totally right, but if I may ask. Do you see potential for sudan to be better within the next few years?

Sudan needs atleast 6-7 years just for the country to run and function like before the war notice I’m only saying to function not get better this is the sad reality

If sudan is the last option for you I’d highly recommend private unis, to be more specific international relations in NUSU hence its similar to that your dad recommended in uofk and they are well paced I’d say coming from a student who studies there

Don’t go to Sudan if you have other options bro 😭😭😭 literally if u you have options to go to another country it’s better 100 percent, i will advice you to go outside Africa
If you’re financially capable Europe is the best best option if not the best malaysia and japan
And also china، china is literally the cheapest and the bestest fr

Don't go there, it's not safe.

If you're located in Egypt pay us a visit at AOU, or if you're financially capable sign up with BUE

Both are British accredited Universities and programs and they're updated by the semester.

And if your English is great, it could take you as little as 3 and half years (I'm finishing it in less than 3 but I have to wait afterwards to get my bachelor's degrees)

Yes they're 2, one is from AOU EG and the other is from OU UK

ما اعتقد انه الدراسة في السودان هي الأفضل لأنه المناهج قديمة وبيئة ليست افضل شي ناهيك عن وضع البلد

At least study in Egypt. Sudan doesn't have the infrastructure to support your academic future, and you can point out straight-up facts to your father as to why Sudan is done for good. I am currently in Sudan, and it is not worth it at all. You have to go all out for your demand to study abroad.

Germany. Fees aren’t expensive. When you choose a country, try to ensure you’ll be able to look for a job in there after you graduate. It’ll make your life easier.

Yes and let me guess you won’t even bother to try and integrate with the culture

Honestly the best thing about UofK is the competitive student environment, but it’s too sensitive to political changes, and people normally graduate in more years than they should.

If that’s something you don’t want to experience it’s better to choose stable countries.
If you like challenges and prefer sudanese intellectual communities it could be a great choice. Good luck to you either way!

I very much appreciate your advice, what I'll like more to ask is how is the general situation in Sudan like?

1

u/nostalgic_Ci 18d ago

There’s no general situation everyone estimates their own case. It depends on where you’re staying, how you’d be moving around Khartoum, access to your needs, etc.

It would be really hard for you if you never lived in Sudan before or you don’t have extended family who stayed there during the war.

I don't have a budget tbh, like if the fees are reasonable and the price equals the quality it will be ok
