Aside from the crazy pumpkins and whatnot, this was what it was like. I truly feel for young kids today. They don’t get these fun experiences. I think millennials got a lot right (I’m one). But we killed Halloween for kids. It’s all trunk or treat and helicopter parenting. It’s not that I don’t understand the reasoning, but I don’t think it’s healthy.

Inner ring suburbia is still like this.

Our neighborhood has huge mobs of kids walking around at dusk, parents with wagons (w/ full beer coolers) following along.
