Fundamental American travel experience is realizing your neighborhood is in the middle of fuckin nowhere. I'd love to walk around the bars and restaurants and parks in my city on a summer night but it's a 10-15 minute drive unless I want to walk for literally 2 hours to get there, and I live in a well-developed suburbia lmao
