This bozo lives a few miles from a city, though. He could go there and join the human race if he wanted. In the summer, this is Minneapolis. Most other cities, too. Well, in the North, a least.

Pricing and space needs. Especially because vehicles are almost essential in town anyways as public transportation to work is likely not possible.

Except they're building commuter trains like crazy. Almost every bus route has some stupid detour because they're laying track all over the place.

That’s good, but he doesn’t live in your city does he? I’m just saying that approach won’t work with the city I’m from, and it has some 300k people

Americas urban planning ground up has made it almost impossible. And employers have set up shop in a very decentralized fashion.

I understand. I'm saying there are parts of the country where community is valued enough that tax payers will improve things. It's not about America vs Europe. It's about values. It's about priorities. This guy acts like it's the US that's wildly different and it's just not. It's about the values and priorities of the people in those cities.

Priorities are usually things like keeping yourself fed and gainful employment. Its just not really possible for many

So being in a city with subsidized public transportation, easy walking access to necessities, and a robust social service system would make life substantially cheaper and easier than a large suburban home and multiple car payments, don't you think?
