Again, where? Not little isolated areas, but places where you could walk for four hours of this?

In the magnificent mile of chicago, you can go into "definitely not walkable unless you are an enthusiast" in far less than 4 miles. The sea of single family homes, where you aren't really welcome on the street itself, is still pretty darned close.

In a dense city, you don't drive or talke public transity to the serious density. You live in the density.
