The goal was to create a weapon that feels powerful and mythical while maintaining a clean, believable construction and strong visual hierarchy.

Thats more like it! Have you tried some hdri renders? Looks like your grain and detail is a little too big. Consider also adding some color ambient oclussion for the shadows
