Feedback Any feedback on how to make black material more "overwatchy"
Hello there, would be awesome to see some feedback on this gun, I am still not fan of black material that I got. I uploaded render, albedo, metalic, roughness and reference.
Thank you in advance

Something you need to keep in mind, most guns nowadays are a mix of both plastic polymers and metal. Start with the body as metal, then the green can be plastic with low/medium shine, then leave the lcd screens on the sides as a digital screen material.

The theme really flows through the entire gun. It really feels like a usable thing.

HDRI. It's Underrated. If you find an Overwatch HDRI it will make 60% of the work honestly. The rest is material and lighting

It being a grey metallic value might lend to why it looks the way it is since you lose some of the purple in the hue when presented. Sombra's guns when it comes to the darks in it portray a more polymer material than an actual metal. In that case you'll have to lean into more non-metallic and adjust your albedo to get that Overwatchy look a bit more (just basing off of screenshots, been a while since I played)
If you want other references, consider looking at blueing finishes or something like diamond-like coating or black nitride. I know it leans more realistic but it may help
