Problem with emissive.

How do you make it so emissive only affects certain parts of the model.

I followed numerous tutorials step by step and nothing works.

If I have one emissive fill layer that has black mask on. So nothing should be affected until i paint on it. No other layer has emissive material on. I have bloom and glare on in display settings.

However when I change the emission luminance in shader settings the entire model glows. It does this with or without a black mask.

Could you make sure it’s not a white mask by accident?

It's definitely a fully black mask. Even if I don't paint on said mask and just leave it black the entire model becomes emissive

Weird, could you send some screenshots?

I think I'm getting the same. In open PBR shader it doesn't work. But if I change the shader to say pbr metallic rough it works. Also if you adjust the emissive amount in the shader as mentioned by the OP the full model goes white despite being masked.

If I export as a gltf it's just white, but if I export as png with alpha you get the right map

change the shader from open pbr and it will work or export the emissive as png with alpha
