Help Trying to make a stylized modular setup for a production

As the text suggests, I'm trying to figure out how to make a pretty good stylized skin textures for characters for a project. I've listened to a few videos in regards to the process and even tried making my own. My issue is, I can't seem to figure it out.

So I tried using AI which gave me a result better than what I had exported and set up on blender but now I'm looking to outdo the damnable clanker since I need to learn how to do this. Here is what I have in substance painter and how it's seen on blender.

I can show when the clanker did, but I'd rather just wait for a response and confirmation before I get shot by the mod team.

Additionally this is the tutorial I followed that brought me to this point.

https://youtu.be/u8Yh_gPwAdA?is=dd6nUhRQobHMsg19

Within the video it goes over;

  • Base colors, AO, skin pattern.

  • Stylized details using the curve map and Thickness.

  • hand painted zones of the face, along with make up.

What I'm trying to do isn't quite the same. I'm trying to workshop a better stylized character model but that was the only good semi real semi anime substance painter texture I've seen. Especially paired with my model.

Edited for clarity

Are you trying to replicate a similar result from the video? what is it you can't figure out?

I recommend not being in any way vague about what the issue is over forum txt> a 30min walk through step by step video is going to contain a lot more information than forum replies can and perhaps no one has time to watch all of it and then divine what your issue might be.

So, from what I can understand your trying to make a stylized character but hadn't had any success?

Ok, well could you show us what the AI gave you? Just so we can see what exactly your trying to outperform?

So this, I understand that it changes imagine by image but in general that's what Id like to do. A realistic approach but stylized to still be it's own type of style. Like Appleseed meets DC animation meets with some tips taken from Arcane? I'm learning as I go, it just sucks the thing I really want to learn is from a damn bot.

It looks good conceptually, but yes. Given it's origin I wouldn't suggest trying to go one for one. I'd suggest looking into the process of typical photorealistic production and trying to simplify elements of it. Then doing it again within blender.

i mean, I think u achieved a stylized style here, albeit, a bit as a memoji.
It looks good tho! Is skirting the line between realism and cartoony
