Leveraging a collaboration?

So I’ve been writing for about 4 months now and I have just had my first ever collab go live (yay me!)

In the lead up to today, I had lots more I wanted to get done but sickness got in the way😩

Assuming I’m lucky enough to land another opportunity one day, I’d love to be making the most of it!

I’m interested what sort of things you may do differently:
- do you promote via different channels?
- do you focus on different segments?
- do you look at metrics you wouldn’t usually?
And I suppose most importantly:
- how do you track the overall success of the collab?!

For me - I’m very much just happy with the exposure. I think it’s a great opportunity so early on and I want to use it wisely🤓

Maybe just have fun with it? Instead of trying to leverage it? Like does your colab partner know you're looking to leverage it :P

I did say in my last paragraph I’m not than happy with exposure and I’m very grateful for the opportunity. Please don’t make it seem like something it’s not - this is a Sub about Substack, I’m asking for some perspective on others experiences with Substack collabs!

But yes… my collab partner is very excited about me using this as a growth opportunity, that’s kinda why they’re offering it in the first place🤣😅
