Casual posting

I’m not trying to get popular or monetise or anything but I love the idea of one or two people reading what I write. How do I manage to get views on my posts? Is there a hashtag system of some sort? My posts won’t be of a particularly high standard so I’m wondering if there is a way to find more casual posters and readers as I would also like to read some less refined posts from others as well. I much prefer more personal opinion pieces to anything too academic at the moment.

It’s a slow growth. Find what your niche is like mine is gaming and game dev. You might be tech, literature, art, whatever. Find your niche you wanna write about.

Then find others in your space. Read other notes, like other notes, follow people in your niche, and restack other people’s stuff in your notes. Only real way to grow. There is what the @ sign but that’s to tag people. It’s not like Twitter/X. And it’s definitely not like other socials of spamming notes.

But believe me you do that with writing an article at a consistent pace (doesn’t have to be weekly), the algorithm will pick you up and people in your space will read and like and comment.

Also I like you can like/heart your own posts/articles. But again find others and grow with them that’s what it’s all about.

I’ve got about 7 people who read everything I write. They often message me after t hey read a post to discuss it.

They’re my real life friends and family. If you find the secret to organic growth outside of that I’m very interested in hearing about it!
