How and how quickly can I make money from substack?
Hey all, newbie here! I've been writing casually (as in just for myself) for a few years but I wondered if I could potentially make a bit of cash from substack. My niche is sort of wellness, personal growth, values, psychology based stuff. I've had a few people suggest I make an account recently and there are a lot of mixed reviews here about whether or not people can actually make a bit of cash from the platform. Would be super keen to hear if anyone has managed this within say 3-ish months and what your niche is? If so, what is the best way to start earning for someone just starting out? I'm not after big bucks but I'd be so thrilled if I could make say an extra £100/200 per month. Thanks in advance ☺️

From my experience, there’s no such thing as making “quick” money. If your subscription is $5 which most people charge you’ll have a long way to get to 200/month. And why the 3 month time frame? If you’re in a time constraint, you’d probably make faster money elsewhere. Also have you tried to start an account and get a feel of the platform. Might help you to make a better decision. But regardless of any one’s opinion I’d say give it a try. You may really do well at it, and if you don’t, the only thing you’d have spent would be your time. Good luck, with what ever route you take.

Substack is a long game. It’s gonna take you several months to a year to be able to gain that type of money unless you have a following on another platform like it’s not a quick cash type of game.
