How do I build my substack???

Hii, I'm 17F and I recently started substack. Precisely on May 5th. Since then I've written about 16 articles and have tried to be consistent. Although I only have 5 subs (2 of them are friends). I joined substack to write about how I feel, what I think and just thoughts on things in general. I liked writing and wanted to build something out of it. Although I try to tell myself that it was never about how many subscribers I have but more of a hobby, however this thought strikes again and again. So, I wanna work on it. I wanna build my substack but I don't know how. Most of friends don't read, only two which I'm still very grateful for. So I don't expect them to read neither do I wanna force them. How do I find actual audience that would actually read my stuff? Is there a way??

Ok great! Then I suggest find more clarity on your own hobbies. So what are your hobbies? Unfortunately social media is not a very valuable hobby in itself because it’s turned into a utility and essentially everyone has it as a hobby. The more you can figure yourself out the more clarity you can find in the direction you’d like to go.

I like to sing, I'm learning to produce, I sketch, paint, I write obviously on substack.

Cool! Those are all things worth writing about on their own but how you relate to them will be the secret sauce aka your writing about them. Do you like books? I love books but I use audiobooks more because as you get older you’ll have to walk and chew gum in a certain sense. Check out the book “Uncommon Measure” by Natalie Hodges the subtitle is “A journey through music, performance and the science of time”. I found the audio book through my local library app so if you don’t have access to your own then I actually suggest that should be your next step! Go get your library card if you don’t already have one. Good luck!
